This map is one of the first maps of New Amsterdam showing where Casparus Steynmets II landed when he arrived in the New World in 1631.
At the southwestern tip of the map is located Winckel Street where Casparus Steynmets II and his family first lived. His next door neighbours were Dominie E. Bogardus, on one side and the Dutch poet, Jacob Steenham on the other.
